Shiv jayanti celebrations at AISSMS SSPM Primary Day School on 19th February 2025.
Shiv jayanti, the birth anniversary of the great leader Chhatrapati Shri Shivaji Maharaj was celebrated with a great pomp and reverence on 19 February 2025 at AISSMS SSPM Primary Day School under the able guidance of Honorary Secretary Shri Malojiraje Chhatrapati . The school gate and premises were beautifully decorated with vibrant flowers, colorful rangoli, cardboard cutouts sword-shield and saffron flags, which stole the hearts of the admirers.
The eminent dignitaries of AISSM Society Shri Suresh Pratap Shinde, Honorary Joint Secretary; Shri Ajay Uttamrao Patil, Treasurer and Advocate Bhagwan Rao Baburao Salunkhe, Chairman, managing committee graced the function with other dignitaries.
The program kick started by garlanding and paying homage to the idol of Chhatrapati Shri Shivaji Maharaj by the dignitaries followed by the playing of Rajyageet.
Students showcased their talents by putting up a wonderful program. A skit depicting the birth of Chhatrapati Shri Shivaji Maharaj, martial skills like Lathi Kathi and Dandapatta, speech, a traditional powada, Shiv garjana and skating were the main highlights of the celebration. The entire atmosphere was filled with joy and reverence
The program concluded with a spectacular procession of Chhatrapati Shri Shivaji Maharaj’s palanquin at the school premises. The traditional Dhol Tasha played by students during the procession was noteworthy.
The dignitaries gave their valuable support by recognizing the talent of students and rewarding them for putting up the best performance.
The ex corporator PMC, Mr V.K Katre also known as Bhai Katre , made his valuable presence at the occasion and spoke few words of encouragement to the students.
It was indeed a day filled with pride, talent, and a deep respect for our history.
