The students of Std. IV of AISSMS SSPM Primary Day School participated enthusiastically in a creative and meaningful Rakhi Making Activity. Under the able guidance of their Art Teacher, the students beautifully crafted colourful and attractive handmade Rakhis with great enthusiasm and creativity.
The purpose of this special activity went beyond creativity and craft. The handmade Rakhis were prepared with the heartfelt intention of sending them to the brave soldiers of our nation. Through this unique initiative, students learnt about the invaluable contribution and sacrifices of our soldiers who tirelessly safeguard our country. They also understood that the sacred bond of Raksha Bandhan can extend beyond family and express brotherly love, respect and gratitude towards our soldiers.
The students carefully packed approximately 150 handmade Rakhis in around 20 envelopes. The beautifully prepared Rakhis were then handed over by the students to the PRO of the Post Office for onward delivery to the soldiers.
This thoughtful activity not only brought out the artistic talents of the young learners but also instilled in them the values of patriotism, gratitude, compassion and respect for our armed forces. It was truly a beautiful gesture of love and appreciation from our young citizens to the heroes of our nation.
