AISSMS SSPM Primary Day School organised an English Poetry Recitation Competition on 11th September 2026, providing students with a wonderful platform to showcase their confidence, creativity, expression and love for poetry.
The programme commenced with the garlanding of the idol of Goddess Saraswati, the Goddess of Wisdom, seeking her blessings for the successful conduct of the event.
The young poets enthusiastically recited poems on a variety of interesting and meaningful themes such as My Wonderful School, The Magic of Books, Technology, Emotions, Save Our Planet Earth, The Moon, The Seed, and Being Clean. The students presented their poems with confidence, expressive gestures and appropriate voice modulation, making the event lively and enjoyable.
The deserving candidates were applauded for their commendable performances and were felicitated with medals and certificates by the Headmistress. The competition encouraged students to overcome stage fear, develop their communication skills and express their thoughts creatively through poetry.
It was indeed a memorable and enriching experience that celebrated the joy of poetry, creativity and confident expression among the young learners.
