International Yoga Day Celebration at AISSMS SSPM Primary Day School
The International Yoga Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm at AISSMS SSPM Primary Day School on 22nd June 2026. Students of Standards III and IV assembled on the school assembly ground to participate in the event.
The Physical Education Teacher enlightened the students about the importance of yoga and its role in maintaining a healthy body and mind. The session began with meditation, during which students chanted “Om” under the able guidance of the Physical Education Teacher, creating a calm and peaceful atmosphere.
The students were then guided to perform Anulom Vilom, a breathing exercise that helps improve concentration and overall well-being. Adding to the significance of the occasion, selected students of Standard IV presented a demonstration of various yoga exercises, showcasing their flexibility and discipline.
In the concluding part of the program, students of Standard IV were guided to perform Surya Namaskar, emphasizing the importance of incorporating yoga into daily life.
The celebration was a meaningful and enriching experience that encouraged students to adopt healthy habits and understand the value of yoga for physical, mental, and emotional well-being.
